It's that time of year! Back by popular demand, our 4th annual Nordic Skiing event is here!

Have you passed by the Weston Ski Track again and again, intrigued by the snow, but nervous to give Nordic (Cross Country) skiing a try? Have you gone XC skiing a few times, but always hesitate because you don't have your own gear? Or maybe, you are a long-time Nordic skier and you're looking for other families to get outside with?

Then this event is for you!

The Outdoor Parents interest group is hosting a Nordic ski event at the Weston Ski Track open to WMF members and their families. There are a variety of ways to take part including the option to sign up for a lesson, rent gear, and a chance to mix and mingle over coffee and treats with other families in the lodge. Sign up for the option that suits your family best! More information below:

Where: Weston Ski Track (Leo J Martin) 190 Park Rd, Weston, MA 02493. Meet in the lodge before 11am.

When: Saturday, March 7th from 10:30am to 12:30pm (lesson begins at 11am sharp!)

Who: Open to all members and their families. Please register for each member of your family who will be attending (children under 2 are free and do not need to register):

  • Ski Pass only (adult): $15
  • Ski Pass only (child 2-16): $8
  • Ski Lesson add-on (Adult 11+ or Children Ages 4-10): $20 (plus cost of ski pass)

Things to note:

  • The ski pass is good for the entire day, so if you'd like to stay past noon, or leave and come back later the same day, you're more than welcome to!
  • The lesson is one hour and will begin at 11am. It is available for adults 11+ and children ages 4-10. Space in the ski lessons is limited. Please register for the number of adults or children who would like a lesson.
  • Rentals will be available when you arrive. Skis, snowshoes, boots and poles can all be rented. Touring skis and Skate skis are both available. Adaptive ski equipment can also be rented. (Paid separately out of pocket.)
  • Pulk Child Carriers (sleds) to pull small children behind you while you ski are available for rental when you arrive. This may be challenging for novice skiers. (Paid separately out of pocket.)
