This special family event is geared for children ages 3-7. Our group will be facilitated by Kristin Chisum, a speech-language pathologist who specializes in social cognition and has been a therapeutic riding instructor at Lovelane for over 20 years. Families will begin with a walk through the barn where they will meet and interact with some of Lovelane's horses and ponies. Next, they will engage in a few play-based activities which will include whole-group and small-group time, and opportunities for both stillness and movement. Finally, families will have time at the end for a nut-free snack and drink and to interact with one another and the Lovelane staff and volunteers.

Please dress for the weather, including closed-toed shoes. To keep the horses comfortable and yourself safe, Lovelane encourages walking feet and a quiet voice when in the barn. Some of the horses like their space, so please ask before greeting a horse that is not part of our group for the day. Children will have the opportunity to feed treats to some the horses; they will only feed treats using a bucket (no feeding by hand).

Cost is $10 per family. Space is limited.
